Wrestling With The Dreams of Backwardness And Stagnation   Jeremiah 7:24: But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.   Jeremiah 15:6: Thou hast forsaken me, saith the Lord, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting.   The Lord told the Israelites “you have been too long on this mountain, get out of here, go to that land!” But they said “no. We will not go. We will send people”. And then they went to start fighting the war God did not ask them to fight. So when they were preparing for that war, Moses said “God is not with you. The spirit of Kadesh Barnea is still ruling you, do not go”. They went and they were terribly disgraced.   One of the forces capable of delaying a man’s destiny is the power of backwardness. The spirit behind backwardness has the power to delay, frustrate, disappoint, waste a person’s time. The spirit of backwardness have the power to tie a person’s life down for a very long time, except the mercy of God delivers that person.   These powers can useless a person’s destiny. It can make a man to start all over again in life. The spirit can cut off a person’s at the edge of breakthrough.  The spirit can cause a man to make a regrettable mistake. Likewise,  the spirit can make a man to work hard but never allow the person to eat the fruit of his labour.   For example, somebody will be promoted in his workplace today, and tomorrow, the boss of the organisation would  be furious about the man’s promotion and says who promoted this man without my consent or approval.   A lot of people are currently under the stronghold of this type of powers we are talking about. Somebody will see himself going to the village in the dream And in the waking life, the man will experience financial attacks.   Somebody will see himself wearing old school uniform in the dream, in the waking life, the person is under bondage. The children of Isealites were in bondage for many years. They were stagnated and faced major setback in Egypt.   The good news is that, God delivered them to the promised land through Joshua. Moses was able to see the promised land but was not allowed to enter into it. So, today, we are going to pray against the spirit of backwardness  in our dreams and the spirit of seeing it but never attain it. We will be victorious, in Jesus name.   Dreams Indicating Backwardness   Once you begin to have any of these dreams, you need to pray against the enemies of your progress.   Going back to old schools in dreams. Sitting in kindergarten chairs when you are an adult. Going back to that old house in dreams. Going back to that apprentice shop where you learnt things many years ago. Seeing dead relatives in the dream. Wearing old clothes in the dream. Always going back to your place of birth. And that has affected so many people. Seeing yourself playing with the friends of your youth that you have not seen for years. Climbing a mountain and getting nowhere. Being in a vehicle that has no steering. Being lost in a forest or wilderness. Always seeing yourself in a particular spot in a particular building which does not exist in the physical realm. Being held down by powerful forces. They overpower you, press you down and strangle you and sometimes it is a miracle that you wake up. Taking an exam you already passed in the physical in the dream. Seeing yourself back in primary school, secondary school, university in class with people of the past.   Other Symptoms are   He would keep missing their timing. He would go to the right place at the wrong time. Wrong positioning. You know, 90% of success is correct positioning. Good things finish before their turn. Bad things happen to helpers who want to help them. Helpers suddenly become uncooperative. Expectation and hope always dashed. Will always be absent on day of favour. He would be singled out for punishment, rebuke, query, suspension, victimisation, retirement. He would be punished for others’ crimes and his reward, given to another.   Way out Surrender your life to Jesus. Repent from every known sin. Be ruggedly determined that your position must change for the better. Engage in the prayer warfare prayers.   PRAYER POINTS   1. Every serpent of backwardness pursuing my destiny, die, in the name of Jesus.   2. Every house of  witchcraft dragging my life backward, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.   3. Every dream of retrogression manipulating my life, catch fire and die, in the name of Jesus.   4. Demonic forces fighting against my destiny, release my destiny and die in the name of Jesus.   5. Every altar of my father’s house resisting my advancement, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.   6. Every power that refuse to let me go, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.   7. Anything in me or around me delaying my destiny, release me and cut off from me, in the name of Jesus.   8. Thou spirit of near success syndrome frustrating my efforts in life, die, in the name of Jesus.   9. I paralyse every spirit behind errors and mistakes in my life, in the name of Jesus.   10. Powers that say even though I go far, they will block my way, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.   11.
