Prayer For Repentance In the Bible

Prayer  For  Repentance  In the Bible.

Acts 3: 19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Acts 17: 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent:

Prayers: Father I am sorry for the sins, that I have committed in my past, and present, have mercy and forgive me of all my sins, in the name of Jesus.

Confession and repentance play a vital role in the life of every Christian, without repentance of sin, there will be no mercy and forgiveness. The bible says in the book of Proverbs 28: 13, he that covereth his sin, shall not prosper, and whosoever confessed and forsake them, he shall have mercy.

So many Christians are living a secret life, thinking that nobody seeing them. They pray a lot, and fast a lot, but still do not need to repent from their sins. Repentance is the first step to reconciling with God.

Repentance is a total change of heart from sin, it’s impossible to receive salvation when you have determined, not to reveal, repent, or confess your sin. God hates sin and before he can do anything with you, he wants you to clean, purify, and redeem your mind from that sin. Jesus came to the world purposely to call the sinners to repent ( Luke 5: 32).

Sin brings division between man and God, and he releases grace, and salvation to those that genuinely repent from their wrong ways. You cannot win God’s heart when you are trading in various degrees of sin and pretending to be a righteous person before people. The Bible says, that if we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and truth is not in us, without true repentance, there will be no salvation.

God commands us to repent and believe in the power of his redemption. Genuine repentance is only what you do consistently with your decision. There is a voice calling you to repent from your sins and turn to God. In Luke 13 : 3, the bible says, unless you repent, you will perish, for most people, the only thing that will bring or guarantee their salvation, deliverance, is when they go back to God and turn from their evil ways.

Repentance opens the way for blessings, it’s the only way to escape God’s judgment. There is a warning here to these present-day Christians in John 3 : 3, the Bible says, Jesus answered, unless you are truly a born-again Christian, you can not see or feel the kingdom. If you have anything, disturbing you, blot it out immediately, so it will not restrict you from getting divine miracles. Let us then take the following prayers.

Confession: Romans 10: 9 – 10, I John 1: 9

1. Father, I believe that you died for my sin and resurrected me to give me life, I confess to you as my personal Lord and Savior, and from today, I will serve you with a clean and clear mind. Please give me the grace to remain faithful to you through the days of my life.

2. Father, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I am sorry for the sin that I have committed and hidden from you, father help me to walk in the path of righteousness and devote myself to you completely.

3. Oh Lord, I am tired of committing various forms of sin, the blood of Jesus wash away my sin and let me see the grace not to backslide and give me the opportunity to remain faithful to your promises to my life.

4. Father, I am sorry for all my sins, I repent of them all, please forgive me from now, I will serve you with the integrity of my heart. I believe you died and rose up for my victory, write my name in the Book of Life and let it be well with me throughout, the days of my life.
